This Privacy Policy explains how A Byte of Everything
("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the mobile
application Chess 3D: Fantasy Board Game (the "App"),
published on Google Play under the package name
com.mani.chess3dcombat.
Summary
The App has no accounts and no sign-in, and we operate no servers. Your games, settings and progress are stored only on your device.
The free version of the App shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. To do that, Google receives your device's advertising identifier and related technical data. That is the only data leaving your device, we never see it ourselves, and buying "Remove Ads" stops it entirely.
What we collect ourselves
Nothing. We have no servers, no accounts, no analytics and no crash reporting. We do not collect, request or receive your name, email address, phone number, postal address, location, contacts, calendar, photos, files, microphone or camera data, and we have no ability to identify you or to see how you play.
Data stored on your device
The App saves a small amount of data locally so it behaves the way you expect: your in-progress game, your settings (piece set, board theme, sound and haptics, AI difficulty), your tutorial and challenge progress, your Daily Puzzle streak, how many hints and free games you have used today, and which items you have purchased.
This data never leaves your device, and we cannot access it. It is removed when you uninstall the App, or immediately if you use Settings → Reset everything.
Advertising
The free version of the App shows optional rewarded video ads: you may choose to watch one to continue playing after your free daily games, or to refill hints. Ads are supplied by Google AdMob, a Google service. We are not an advertising company, we do not build profiles, and we receive no personal data from Google — only aggregate counts of ads shown and revenue earned.
To serve and measure ads, Google collects and processes data through the AdMob software in the App. According to Google, this can include:
- the Android advertising ID, a resettable identifier used to limit repeated ads and to measure performance;
- device and technical information such as device model, operating system version, language, coarse location derived from IP address, and IP address itself;
- ad interaction data — that an ad was requested, shown, watched to the end or dismissed.
Google acts as an independent controller for this processing. Its handling of the data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy, and you can review the partners Google works with at Google's partner sites page.
Your choice about personalised ads
Before the first ad is requested, the App shows Google's consent form where required by law — for example under the EU GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. If you do not consent, the App requests non-personalised ads, which are chosen by context rather than by any profile. Ads still appear either way; only the targeting changes.
The consent form appears only when an ad is actually about to be shown, which means players who never reach an ad gate, and anyone who has bought "Remove Ads", are never asked at all.
You can change your mind at any time:
- Reset or delete the advertising ID: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads (wording varies by manufacturer and version). Deleting it stops personalised advertising across all apps.
- Remove ads entirely: buy the "Remove Ads" item in the App. The advertising software is then never started at all.
Purchases
The App offers optional in-app purchases: cosmetic 3D piece sets, and a one-time "Remove Ads" purchase. All payments are processed by Google Play Billing. We never see or receive your card number, billing address or any other payment detail — we receive only a confirmation from Google that a purchase succeeded, so the App can unlock the item. Google's handling of your payment data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and your Google Play terms. Refunds are handled by Google Play.
Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and its Google Play target age range is 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, contact us and we will act on it — though in practice we hold no personal information about any user.
Your rights
Data protection laws including the EU/UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA give you rights over your personal data — access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to object to processing or to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" for targeted advertising.
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or delete. We do not sell personal information, and we do not receive any. For the advertising data described above, Google is the controller: exercise those rights through Google using the links in the Advertising section, or by resetting or deleting your advertising ID. You can also delete everything the App has stored locally at any time via Settings → Reset everything, or by uninstalling — step-by-step instructions are on our Delete your data page.
Data retention and security
We store no user data, so we retain none and there is no server-side database that could be exposed in a breach. Data held on your device is protected by your device's own operating system security. Google retains advertising data according to its own published retention policies.
International transfers
We transfer no data. Google may process advertising data outside your country, including in the United States, under the safeguards described in Google's own privacy documentation.

Changes to this policy
If the App changes in a way that affects this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above, and where the change is significant we will note it in the App's release notes. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
